Repeat Orders and Commercial Update
Acta S.p.A. (AIM:ACTA), the clean energy products company, is pleased to announce that following a successful exhibition presenting at the Hannover Messe in April 2013, the Company has received repeat orders from key clients, first orders from new clients, and developed a strong pipeline of new sales proposals. In addition a number of new commercial engagement opportunities have developed that are expected to accelerate sales and product adoption over the summer.
At Hannover Messe from 8 to12 April 2013 Acta exhibited its low cost hydrogen electrolyser and stack range. The Company also exhibited its new end-user product, the Acta Power, which integrates Acta’s EL1000 electrolyser with a fuel cell system from FutureE Fuel Cell Solutions, based on a Ballard stack.
Following the exhibition Acta has received two repeat orders from an existing customer for EL500R electrolysers, a repeat order for a smaller electrolyser from Asia Pacific Fuel Cell Technologies (“APFCT”), and five confirmed orders for electrolysers and other products from new customers.
In addition the Company has received a large number of sales enquiries and project proposal requests from companies who were at the exhibition and has made a significant number of proposals to these enquiries. The repeat customer orders, as well as the majority of the sales enquiries, have been for applications in the area of back-up power for telecoms base stations or domestic renewable energy storage, for which the Company’s electrolysers and the new Acta Power system are ideally suited.
The APFCT order relates to hydrogen refueling of light electric vehicles. At the end of May 2013 Acta is also scheduled to ship an EL1000R electrolyser, the Company’s largest product, to APFCT for installation in the Taiwanese government fuel cell scooter project in the Kenting region of Taiwan.
During the Hannover Messe Acta was also invited to join the Canadian Hydrogen Fuel Cell Association. The potential for Acta’s product range in Canada is significant due to the many remote locations in the country and the high logistical cost of fuel transportation for back-up power systems. Acta is now proud to announce its membership of the Canadian Hydrogen Fuel Cell Association and has confirmed that it will participate in the Hydrogen and Fuel Cells conference in Vancouver from 16-19 June 2013.
Finally, following the high level of commercial interest encountered for the Acta Power amongst telecom companies at the Hannover Messe and in general among its customers, Acta has also confirmed that it will exhibit at CommunicAsia, Asia’s largest telecommunications technology trade fair, in Singapore from 18-21 June 2013.
