Heliocentris orders multiple units of Acta’s HG100 electrolyser

Acta S.p.A. (AIM: ACTA), the clean energy products company, is pleased to announce that it has received a blanket order for multiple units of its HG100 hydrogen generator from Heliocentris Energy Solutions AG (“Heliocentris”).

The expected total value of the order once concluded is approximately €150,000 depending on the product mix and Acta expects to complete delivery of the units during the first half of 2013.  Delivery against the order is subject to call-down of the units by Heliocentris based on market demand generated through Heliocentris’ global distribution network for the educational market.

The HG100 is based on Acta’s EL100 hydrogen generator which is easy and safe to use and is therefore ideal for Heliocentris’ product range for educational institutions and laboratories. Acta has incorporated a number of modifications to the electrolyser to meet the specific requirements of Heliocentris’ target market, including the development of a dryer module for high purity hydrogen production.  The hydrogen generator, named HG100 and branded as a Heliocentris product, is being launched today at the Worlddidac exhibition in Basel and will be on display at Heliocentris’ stand in hall 5.0 at booth No. D50 from 24th – 26th October 2012.

The Worlddidac is a Global Trade Fair for Educational Resources which is recognised as an essential meeting point for the sector and 30% of the world’s wholesale trade in education resources.

Heliocentris has an exclusive global license to sell Acta’s products to the educational market and in return has committed to buying alkaline solid membrane electrolyser products exclusively from Acta.

Paolo Bert, Chief Executive of Acta commented: “Acta is delighted with the continued interest from Heliocentris in our electrolyser products. This is further endorsement and recognition of our technology. It cements our already strong partnership and demonstrates the increasing demand in the market for low cost electrolyser technology which produces clean and dry hydrogen.”

Ayad Abul-Ella, Chief Executive of Heliocentris commented: ”Acta’s HG100 hydrogen generator is ideal for integration into our educational products and applied research products. We are pleased to add the hydrogen generator to our growing range and look forward to showing the advantages of the technology to our educational market customers at Worlddidac Basel 2012.”
